George Bernard Shaw said, “Make it a rule never to give a child a book you would not read yourself.”
This writer of “My Fair Lady” has said something here we all should consider, but not only for books.
What are we giving our children? I would guess that a great percentage of parents don’t know or don’t realize what the child is being given. Assault guns? Come on! It’s downright amazing that parents don’t know what’s in their own home. Cocaine can be there a year and the parents are without a clue.
Parents with two or three jobs to keep up with the Joneses would be a laugh if we didn’t wind up crying. How many cars can you drive? How many TVs do we need to turn off and converse with our children or mates? No one is going to die if they miss “The Big Bang Theory” forever!
Do we know our children’s associates? Do we know where our children are at all time? Do we know that our children are actually at the home or place they told us they would be? Drugs are terrible!
They kill our children or at times make vegetables of them.
You be the adult here!
