FLORENCE — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say is involved in a residential burglary and also is a suspect in a number of recent car burglaries.

Florence police detective Brad Holmes said the man was caught on a home security surveillance video as he was breaking into a residence on Kolby Lane last week.

Holmes said the person also is a suspect in several car burglaries in the Plantation Springs subdivision around Blackberry Trial Golf Course. Holmes said three or four cars parked in the neighborhood were broken into Tuesday.

Anyone knowing the person’s identity is asked to call 256-768-2728 or Shoals Crime Stoppers at 256-386-8685.
