Portion of Wood Avenue closed for utility work

FLORENCE — A portion of Wood Avenue is closed today as crews with the Florence Water Department work on lines, officials said.

The section of Wood Avenue that is closed is from Nellie Avenue to Irvine Street.

City officials said the work should last throughout the morning.

Motorists are urged to detour around that area.
