I will not accuse the liberal politicians of being glad for the shootings in the Sandy Hook Elementary School, but there is no doubt they will exploit it politically.

Certainly this was a terrible thing and the emotions attached to it will be used to deprive the citizens of our constitutional right to own guns.

I would in no way wish to minimize the pain for the families of those who were killed, nor the national outrage for the murder of the innocent children.

However, innocent children are being murdered every day and these same liberal politicians who want to ban gun ownership to prevent such killings appropriate our tax dollars to promote the murder of innocent children.

The president has declared his unqualified support for Planned Parenthood. He also funds the support of abortion in other nations.

The argument that allowing citizens to own guns is the cause of such violence is silly. Several years ago I wrote a letter about hammers. There had been a multiple homicide incident where the perpetrator used a hammer. It makes no more sense to argue that the availability of guns is the cause of homicides with guns than to argue that the availability of hammers caused this man to kill several people with his hammer. It would be more accurate to blame the restrictions on gun ownership for the killing than to blame the availability of guns.

Suppose the principal or one of the teachers had been armed and could have shot the gunman. Many lives could have been saved.
