Gov. Robert Bentley and the Republican-controlled government of Alabama have broken their pledge not to raise taxes, but they only raised them on disabled citizens. For years homeowners on disability in Alabama were given an exemption on their property taxes.
However, the Alabama Legislature passed a law that goes into effect this year that makes every disabled homeowner in Alabama who makes $12,000 or more pay property tax.
No corporate taxes, just disabled people taxes!
