The skinny: Another week, another rematch for Lauderdale County. The Tigers beat Deshler 21-7 in the semifinals last week after winning the regular-season meeting. Lauderdale County lost to Madison Academy 24-10 in Week 2. ... Madison Academy has won eight straight since a Week 5 loss to 5A Cullman. The Mustangs other loss was to 1A No. 1 Tanner in Week 1. ... Madison Academy is coming off a 66-30 win against Colbert County, in which Mustangs sophomore RB Kerryon Johnson rushed for 208 yards on 19 carries, scoring runs of 2, 25 and 58 yards. ... Johnson had a big game the last time against Lauderdale County, rushing for two TDs and returning an interception 96 yards for a score to seal the win. ... Lauderdale County is allowing 10.5 ppg. ... Last week, the Tigers held Deshler scoreless five times inside the 10-yard line, including three times inside the 4. ... Lauderdale County is 1-6 all-time and has lost six straight against Madison Academy, the last win coming in 2004. The Tigers have scored no more than 14 points in each of the last six meetings. ... Lauderdale County is playing in the semifinals for the first time since 1995 and is looking to advance to the state title game for the first time since 1974 and be the first school in the county to do so since Rogers in 1989. ... The winner plays the Straughn-Fayette County winner in the title game Thursday at 11 a.m. at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Muscle Shoals (13-0) at McAdory (13-0)

The skinny: Muscle Shoals is looking to advance to the state championship game for the first time in school history. It’s the second time the Trojans have made the semifinals, the other coming in 1988. ... Muscle Shoals is allowing 8.5 ppg and holding opponents to 75.7 yards rushing per game. ... Offensively, the Trojans average 366 yards rushing per game, led by Jamarcus Nance (1,573 yards, 24 TDs) and Tyler Jackson (1,349 yards, 18 TDs). ... Muscle Shoals is coming off a 49-21 win against Hartselle. ... McAdory’s combined opponent record is 69-72, while Muscle Shoals’ is 89-61. ... The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 28-22 win against Cullman and beat Russellville 27-3 the previous week. ... Muscle Shoals beat Russellville 43-0 in Week 2 and Cullman 35-19 in Week 9. ... McAdory runs a similar brand of Wing-T offense as Muscle Shoals. The Yellow Jackets are scoring 29.7 ppg behind RBs Garian Bradley (6-0, 230) and David Knight (5-11, 185) and QB Kyran Moore, who has passed for 1,117 yards, rushed for 371 and is adept at scrambling to keep plays alive. ... McAdory is allowing 11.8 ppg. ... DB Damien Whitfield returned two INTs for TDs (91, 35) against Cullman. ... The winner plays the Spanish Fort-St. Paul’s winner in the title game Thursday at 7 p.m. at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.
