A Town Creek man whose bail was revoked on a previous arrest faces new charges after deputies serving the bench warrant discovered liquid methadone in his possession, Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said.

Curtis Alan West, 26, of 1273 Lawrence County 156 was arrested on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia in addition to the warrant.

West did not have a valid prescription for the highly addictive narcotic he was carrying when agents arrested him at a residence north of Moulton, Mitchell said.

West was being held in Lawrence County Jail. Bail had not been set on the new charges. Upon his release, he will be taken to Franklin County, where he is charged with robbery, Mitchell said.
