TUSCUMBIA — Police said this morning that the man shot inside a Hickory Street residence Tuesday is improving at Huntsville Hospital.
Tuscumbia police detective Sgt. Stuart Setliff said Brandon Johnson, 23, of Tuscumbia, is now listed in stable condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Johnson had been in critical condition after he was shot once in the chest with a .32-caliber pistol, officials said.
Setliff said Johnson had improved enough that police hoped to be able to talk with him today about the shooting.
Police have charged Larry Darnell Jarmon Jr., 29, Sheffield, with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless endangerment in connection with the shooting Tuesday just after 1 p.m.
Investigators said the shooting was the result of an argument over money between the two men.
Jarmon is in Colbert County Jail on $95,000 bond.
