FLORENCE — Two construction workers were injured in an early morning accident at Bentley Chevrolet Cadillac on Florence Boulevard today, officials said.

Emergency officials said the accident happened at 7:29 a.m.

Florence Fire Chief Charlie Cochran said it is his understanding that two electrical workers received burns and were being flown from the scene by helicopter.

Cochran said he was unsure the severity of the injuries.

“I haven’t been told what happened or how, but from what I understand two men who were working for an electrical contractor received electrical burns,” Cochran said.
