I am so tired of reading how Alabamians have to accept great cutbacks on many essential state programs that help the poor, while our legislature passes bills that have no chance of standing up in court.
They are unconstitutional. They are fought in our courts using a bunch of Montgomery lawyers, where the state pays out big money for their services. Many times these same laws already have been tested in other states, or are trumped by federal law.
Just how big is the Montgomery judicial budget, and how long will the public stand for this waste?
