Take off the blinders, do a reality check and accept the fact that no matter where you choose to live, in an upscale neighborhood or the ghetto, you will eventually have a visit from crime or violence.
The incident in Connecticut is a prime example.
As long as there is life on this earth, crime and violence will exist. There may be some indicators about human behavior, but in all the studies conducted on humans no one fully understands the factors or circumstances that can trigger the brain to become violent.
Each act does not denote a mental disorder. In order to plan, prepare and carry out said act proves the individual had the presence of mind to commit said act. Every violent crime cannot be excused by looking for mental problems. The fact must be accepted that some individuals are just evil and mean.
All of us have the tendency to become violent. Violence does not discriminate. It is up to each of us to redirect our hatred and anger into positive energy instead of becoming destructive.
This can be done by communicating one with another. Surround yourself with positive people. It is not good to be alone all the time and harbor ill will toward others.
