NASHVILLE — Tonight’s Americana Music Association Honors & Awards show can be viewed live online at AXS.tv and NPR.org.
Sirius/XM satellite radio subscribers can listen to the broadcast, which also will be available on Nashville’s WSM radio.
The show begins at 7 p.m.
Shoals artists are enjoying a strong presence again this year, receiving nominations in four of the six categories.
Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, led by Greenhill native Jason Isbell, is up for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year. Isbell also has been nominated for Artist of the Year.
The Civil Wars, a Grammy Award-winning duo that includes Florence singer/songwriter/guitarist John Paul White and Nashville vocalist Joy Williams, also is nominated for Duo/Group of the Year.
The Alabama Shakes, a Muscle Shoals-influenced rock band from Athens, is up for Emerging Artist of the Year.
The event is being held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Isbell, The Civil Wars and Alabama Shakes are scheduled to perform.
The awards show is part of the four-day Americana Music Festival that includes more than 100 official music showcases at downtown Nashville music venues.
The show will be rebroadcast Nov. 10 on PBS during an episode of “Austin City Limits.”
