LISTER HILL - Wise Alloys announced today that the company has reached a tentative agreement on a proposed new five-year labor contract with its largest union, United Steelworkers Local 200.
The agreement was reached early today.
“Ratification and execution of the contract is an excellent opportunity for our employees to secure increased wages and maintain existing excellent benefits package that is already among the best in the area and the industry, said Wes Oberholzer, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “(The contract) provides employees, as well as the company, with the ability to conduct long-term planning.”
There are 419 Steelworkers members at Wise.
