You said it
  • I just read in the paper where the Florence school system has spent over a half a million dollars for renovation when they already had a good office. My question now would be, where are you going to put the parking lot? Where are we going to park when we need to do business at the Florence Board of Education?”

  • “Everyone wants to fix a traffic problem with a red light, such as at Brooks High School. The problem seems to be only on school days and there’s only 175 school days in a year. And, according to my calculations, that’s less than 50 percent of the time out of the 365 days. Therefore, impeding traffic 365 days a year, 24/7, for a problem that exists for only four hours a day or so, that would be less than half a year ...”

  • “I’m up in Tennessee and I just bought a lottery ticket. And, all over the windows there are signs saying ‘$2 billion for education thanks to you.’ They’ve raised $2 billion thanks to us in Alabama, too.”

  • “This is for the person with the You Said It statement Saturday, ‘First time in my life I’m ashamed of the United States.’ You don’t have to do that. Obama’s already said that.”

  • “Regarding the person who wanted us to be thankful to President Obama for our gravy and biscuits, our gravy probably is going to be made with water. And, needless to say, there is no meat and watch our health care. So, my belief is when Obama’s mouth is open, he is lying. So I guess the future will have to tell us the answers to all of this.”

  • “Many large churches don’t furnish transportation for different reasons. Most reasons, lack of caring or compassion. Don’t want to put out. Don’t want to work. Many different reasons. But compassion is the main reason. Compassion and caring ...”

  • “I thought I heard it all during the presidential campaign, but when I read some Democrats thought the mail-out, ‘We are not your grandfather’s party’ meant race, that took the cake. The old Democratic Party stood for morals and Christian values. I was there.”

  • “The majority of the states voted Republican, while a Democrat won. The next day media news was we are a nation divided. Great job, Obama, divide and conquer. Step one completed. Derision and chaos to follow in these un-United States. No wonder one of your favorite TV shows is ‘Revolution.’ Who was it that said ‘America will fall without a shot fired?’ ”

  • “I guess I’m disappointed in the steelworkers’ decision at Wise. I think they be happy to have a job. Best I remember, the Alabama state retirees association bailed them out and helped them to keep a job here in this area. The state employees nor the Alabama retirees have had a raise in over five years. So, I think they should be happy to have a job.”

  • “I just read a You Said It comment, ‘Get your gravy, biscuits and grits and thank Obama for that. Romney, the poor people would be starving.’ I think half the people that call into the You Said It line are idiots.”

  • “I hope and pray that I’m wrong, but I think you’ll be lucky if you get biscuits and grits with Obama. Another thing, he is not for this country and the people that’s got their blinded eyes so blinded that they can’t see that, they are in for the worst time of their life these next four years.”

  • “After spending the last five-plus years campaigning for himself, hopefully now President Obama will finally do the job he is paid for and elected to do by putting the good of our country ahead of himself and the Democratic Party. I hope, but I’m not betting on it. Please pray for our country.”

  • “Referring to Obama being re-elected, that’s proof that America will never want for idiots.”
