Rachel Griffin, of Russellville, received a performing arts scholarship from Northwest-Shoals Community College. A senior at Russellville High School, she is a member of Musical Theater and was the Gingy/Sugar Plum Fairy in Shrek the Musical Jr. She is the daughter of Tim and Christa Griffin. She will pursue a degree in Fine Arts.

Morgan Welch, of Russellville, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Belgreen High School, she is a member of HOSA, History Club, Beautification Club and softball team. She is the daughter of James and Judith Welch. She will pursue an associates degree in science to become a general surgeon.

Sunny Patel, of Florence, received an academic scholarship from NW-SCC. He is a senior at Florence High School and the son of Mahendra Patel. He will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Reagan Davis, of Lexington, received an academic scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Brooks High School, she is a member of National Technical Honor Society, Jr National Honor Society, and has recevied serveral highest average grade awards. She is the daughter of Donnie & Rebecca Key and Gary & Renate Davis. She will pursue a degree in Biology/Pre-Med.

Hope Highfield, of Sheffield, received an academic scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Covenant Christian High School, she is a member of DAR Good Citizen, Student Council Secretary, Mentor leader, Teacher Aide, Key Club, Helen Keller Hospital Volunteer, and City of Sheffield Beautification Board. She is the daughter of Dan and Tammy Highfield. She will pursue a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.

Ocheonna Burt, of Sheffield, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Sheffield High School, Ocheonna is a member of Honor Roll, Honor Society, HOSA, Health Science Internship, Top Ten Percent, Mu Alpha Theta, 24kt Club, Talent Search, FCCLA, Friends of Rachel, and 4H. She is the daughter of Keith and Raven Burt. She will pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Molly Kate Ivey, of Sheffield, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Sheffield High School, she is a member of 24k Club,Color Guard, HOSA, FULA, FCRA, First Priority, Theater Club and recevied the Bulldog Award in Geometry. She is the daughter of Kerry Williams and Wesley Williams. She will pursue a degree in early education.

Lauren Howard, of Tuscumbia, received a Valedictorian scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Colbert Heights High School, she is a member of member of National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, FBLA, Highest In-Grade Award recipient for 3 years, and is class valedictorian. She is the daughter of Travis and Chastity Howard. She will pursue a degree in computer science.

Matthew Cummings, of Sheffield, received an academic scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Sheffield High School, he is a member of baseball, tennis, film, AP History, First Priority, and Honor Roll. He is the son of Jahala and Charlie Cummings. He will pursue a degree in software programming.

Hannah Harper Cummings, of Sheffield, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Sheffield High School, she is a member of FCCLA, Bulldog Ambassador, HOSA (President), Kiwanis (President), National Honor Society, 24-Karat Club and softball team. She is the daughter of Charlie and Jahala Cummings. She will pursue a degree in nursing.

Jasmine Martin, of Russellville, received a Salutatorian scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Belgreen High School, Jasmine is a member of Varsity Basketball, Track, FBLA, SADD, FCA, Diamond Dolls, History Club, Beta Club, annual staff, Student Council and is Miss BHS and Salutatorian of her class. She is the daughter of Vikki Martin. She will pursue a degree in animal sciences.

Destiny Monyae Rodriguez, of Florence, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Sheffield High School, Destiny is a member of National Honor Society, 24 Karat Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Yearbook Committee, NW-SCC Educational Talent Search HOSA, Aim High Mentoring Program, and the Sheffield High School Health Intern Program. She is the daughter of Anna MacDonald. She will pursue a degree in nursing.

Brittney Crowson, of Florence, received an applied technology scholarship from NW-SCC. A senior at Wilson High School, she is a member of Wilson Varsity Track and Field. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Shelia Crowson. She will pursue a degree in nursing.

Two local students will graduate from the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind on May 24. They are Payton Stults, of Florence, and Keith Williams, of Nauvoo.
