Disney’s "Beauty and the Beast" will be presented by the Gingerbread Players at Shoals Theatre beginning tonight. The musical is appropriate for all ages.

The theater is at 123 N. Seminary St., Florence. Dates for the show are 7 p.m. today-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. It also will be presented at 7 p.m. June 21-22.

Director is Jennifer Steen Kilpatrick. She is a graduate of the University of North Alabama with a degree in theater and radio/television/film. With 30 years of theater experience, she has appeared onstage in numerous theatre productions.

The assistant director is Gail Allen, while the music director is Joey Wright, and choreographer is Keri Ann Payne.

This is the 25th anniversary of the Broadway premiere and the second time Gingerbread has produced the musical. The last time was in 2007.
