TUSCUMBIA — The 2018 Alabama Music Hall of Fame Honors and Awards banquet will be shown on Alabama Public Television at 8 p.m. May 24.

This year's banquet marked the third consecutive time the event has been held at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center in Florence. This year's event was a sellout and raised more than $81,000 for the hall of fame.

The 2018 inductees were folk singer and civil rights activist Odetta, born Odetta Holmes in Birmingham; singer/songwriter/guitarist Mac McAnally; soul/rhythm and blues artist Eddie Hinton; and singer singer/songwriter Walt Aldridge.

Hinton died in 1995 while Odetta died in 2008.
