FLORENCE — The University of North Alabama has two students in the running for a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award.

Jasmine Fleming and Mollie Schaefer, both UNA seniors, are among finalist for grants for the Fulbright English teaching assistant program to teach English abroad.

Fleming has applied for placement in Spain, and Schaefer applied for placement in the Czech Republic. The students were approved by the Fulbright program and now are waiting to hear if their applications were approved by the selected countries.

The students will find out this spring if they have been selected.
