TUSCUMBIA — Professional actor/writer Ronald Rand will perform his solo presentation, "The Tuscumbia I Know: A Talk by Captain Keller," on June 27 at the Helen Keller Public Library.

The performance will be from 4-4:30 p.m.

The event is on opening day of this year's Helen Keller Festival, which is also Keller's birthday.

Rand's performance as Captain A.H. Keller, takes his audience back in time sharing his personal reflections on the Shoals in 1888, raising Helen and his family and how to approach the future. 

Rand created, stages and stars in the presentation sponsored by the Helen Keller Public Library and the Tuscumbia Civitan Club.

A renowned director and playwright, Rand has also had roles in more than 200 films and television shows.
