KILLEN — Edward Thurston Frazier, 98, of Killen, passed away on March 10, 2019. He was a native of Lutts, TN and lived the majority of his life in Savannah, TN and Florence, AL. He proudly served our country in WWII in Ireland were he was wounded and received the Purple Heart award for bravery. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend that loved the Lord. He spent many years as a gospel preacher.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years and mother of his children, Maud L. Mangrum Frazier; sons, Charles E., Calvin R. and John R. Frazier; two wives, Corrine Owens Frazier and Mildred Kobeck Frazier; son-in-law, Jimmy Gist. Survivors include his son, David “Gene” Frazier (Jonell); daughter, Jauneze F. Gist; daughter-in-law, Linda Frazier; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the St. Florian Community Center from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, TN. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is assisting the family.
