Large companies that are negotiating on Donald Trump’s tax cuts are going to cost the middle class $4 trillion to $5 trillion in the long run. Ninety-five percent of large companies pay 0%. Three hundred to 400 smaller companies pay 11.7%. So people paying 30% to 40% are left with the bill. …

I believe we should immediately open impeachment hearings on every elected official in Washington, D.C. We could turn the District of Columbia into a ghost town.

I really appreciate the caller that called in about the term limits on the city of Florence boards. I laughed because I was on a board and served one full term, and never was resubmitted or re-elected because I made a comment about the AirBnBs in the area, and a city councilman didn’t like i…

The president has got everybody working in every state in the Union, but the Democrats say, yeah, they are working but it’s all low wages. Well that’s not the president’s fault. Here in Alabama he can’t help if employers won’t pay you but $8 an hour, and won’t let you work 40 hours a week. I…

There has been considerable discussion of late regarding the intentions of North Korea. I don’t think we have anything to be concerned about. After all, a few months ago we were informed that their leader and our leader had “fallen in love.”

I’ve worked in 15 different states from New York to Arizona, and I’ve seen a lot of Christmas lights. I really think Muscle Shoals Avalon, the Christmas lights with the snowflakes are the prettiest I’ve ever seen. It was nice to drive through there at night with all the lights on.

I heard something very interesting on Red Eye Radio recently. The federal government cannot give you anything unless they take it from somebody else. They do not want the homeless people to come out and be somebody and go to work. They want them to always be dependent on the federal governme…

I think we’ve reached the point as a nation where we realized that Donald Trump just lies daily. Even when we can check the facts, he continues to lie, and one of them is that the Democratic Party has not passed any bills. Currently, there are 399 bills laying on Sen. Mitch McConnell’s desk …

I read an article recently that I could not believe. In the article it said that Chick-fil-A company that usually gave a large donation to the Salvation Army organization was this year making a donation of $2.5 million to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is the worst hate and racist or…

I’m sure donations to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle and Empty Table Fund would increase significantly with a Venmo or PayPal option.

I sure am glad Santa Claus came to the Shoals in a sleigh. If he had come in a car, he probably would have broken down, especially on North Patton Street. There are so many holes, he would have gotten hung up, or else would have needed an alignment when it was all over.

On a TV channel recently, I heard a pastor invite the public to his church for a Christmas celebration. There was even going to be fireworks. Nothing says peace on earth like a booming fireworks show. Save it for the Fourth.

Ebeneezer Scrooge is alive and well in Florence. The Room at the Table has been kicked to the curb. Folks, let’s remember this when election time comes up. Start with the mayor and go down.

I see where they are going to set a vote on a marijuana bill in Alabama. They might as well pass it because every man and woman I know already smoke it anyway. So what’s the difference?

I just read where lawmakers were getting a 3.61% raise and Social Security barely got a 1% raise, something we worked for all of our lives. Somehow it’s just not fair.

I thought it was against the law to deer hunt in the city limits, especially in Florence. When I’m going to work in the mornings, I see deer hunters in their trucks pulling into the woods by Crossroads Church and behind the Walmart cemetery. There’s a church and houses all around and that’s …
